We’re enjoying a splendid Indian Summer in the Greater Toronto Area.
We took advantage and took a couple of short, “fall colour” drives that I’d like to recommend.
Stoufville and Uxbridge
We drove up highway 404 and East to Stoufville on a Saturday morning. The first stop, Stoufville market. Fresh fruit, and good deals on anything from clothing, tools, books, DVDs etc. Then drove up to Uxbridge where we had lunch. Finally, South to 401 on Lakeridge Road.
Kleinburg is a facade-city where you can enjoy a stroll, a delicious ice cream and the photographic buildings.
To get there, start at 401 and 400. Drive North on 400 for about 10 minutes to Rutherford, and then West on Rutherford to Islington. North on Islington for another 5 minutes and you are there. On your way back, drive East on Major Mackenzie to 400.
