The Whore of Mensa

I ripped this title from Woody Allen, but that’s OK:  I know he reads my blog, and he’ll love the way I used it.

I know money should not be related to happinness. Happiness should be money-independent. But, as ol' Woody once said, "Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons." I love owning beautiful things, such as the 3-button radio Tivoli Model One...
...or my condenser mike backed by Rokit5 studio monitors. So I couldn't be more happier than this weekend, when - for the bargain price of $5.99, at Value Village - I got...

...this!
The FOLIO edition of Dashiel Hammett's The Maltese Falcon, a classic I first read when I was 14. Luxury paper, hardcover and an additional case. It is in perfect state even 12 years after being printed. There are many more treasures at Value Village in the book section, so here you are, you got tipped -)

Back to Woody Allen – what is with the whore of mensa? Read Woody’s short story and see if there is a semblance with the maltese falcon.
