Recenlty on my DVD player (August 2012)

  1. Family Law – by Argentinian director, Woody Allen disciple Daniel Burman
  2. Holy Smoke! – a fully-nude Kate Winslet in 1999 sets the screen on fire in this superb love story setup in Aussie desert land. Black humor abounds, kangaroos are jumping.
  3. Treme (TV series 2010) – season 1. If I was a music teacher, this TV series would be a book-of-record for anything  related to New Orleans music. The Season 1 setup is just when Katrina hit.
  4. This is Spinal Tap (1984) – long before reality TV, there was mockumentary. This is the first one, EVER. And it’s funny as hell almost 30 years later.
