5/4 Fest – the inaugural prog & prog metal fest in Toronto (19-21 Aug 2016)

Coming back from Heavy Montreal 2016 I bitterly thought once again that the metal scene in Toronto is rather dry.

5/4, a new prog rock and prog-metal fest (presented by Nico Mira & Dentata Music) taking place this coming weekend wants to do something about that.

Here is all you need to know.

The three-day festival will kick off on Friday, August 19 at the Hard Luck Bar, a popular venue for alternative and progressive musicians. Four Toronto-based acts will perform a variety of progressive rock, funk and fusion music.

The festival will continue on Saturday, August 20 at the legendary Lee’s Palace, which will feature four progressive rock and metal acts.

The third and final day of 5/4 Fest will be reserved for a social event, taking place at Sin & Redemption in downtown Toronto. The event welcomes fans of progressive music to gather and socialize while reflecting on the success of the festival.

5/4 Fest is organized by Nico Mira and Dentana Music.
