UCMR-ADA, a non-profit Collective Management Organization (CMO), collects Performance and Mechanical Royalties on behalf of music composers in Romania.

Owned and managed by its members, UCMR-ADA provides insights into the royalties received by Romanian composers through mandatory transparency rules. Board members, who are themselves composers, publicly declare their income, offering transparency into the distribution of royalties.
Let’s compare the annual earnings in 2023 of top Romanian composers with the minimum consumption basket for a decent living, estimated at approximately USD $850 per month or $10,200 annually according to a quick Google search.
