For the past 20+ years, Silviu’s career unfolded in many projects and directions, and some of them were in still photography for award-winning movies from the new wave of Romanian cinema.
His most recent set of stills was for Aferim! (director/writer Radu Jude), winner in February 2015 of the Silver Bear for Best Director at the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival.
Silviu’s work for “Aferim!” leaves me anxious to watch the movie, if only for its cinematography (if you watch the trailer at the bottom of this post, the story is exciting, too!).
